Newton's 1st law along with the elasticity of a polymer chain of beads makes for an interesting demonstration at home or in the classroom.
Part of newton's 1st Law explains that objects can be described by saying that
objects tend to "keep on doing what they're doing"
(unless acted on by an unbalanced force).
