Hurricane Preparedness Week

This, my friends, is hurricane preparedness week. I know...I know...we don't live near an ocean, we live in the nation's heartland. While we have seen remnants of hurricanes, like Hurricane Ike in September of 2008, we will never receive a direct hit like many ocean side towns and cities. BUT, June 1st is the beginning of a six month hurricane season and if you have vacation plans on the Gulf or Atlantic coasts it never hurts to learn a little about hurricanes and what they offer as they approach land and then make landfall....Below you will find several videos from the National Hurricane Center.
